Two Truths and a Lie
Directions for the "Two Truths and a Lie" Activity
- Each student will write down two true statements and one lie about themselves.
- You may arrange the statements in any order. The goal is for the class to identify the lie.
- Take a moment to think before writing your statements; this helps everyone prepare.
- Once you finish writing, we will go around the room. Each student will read their three statements aloud.
- After each student reads, the class will vote on which statement they think is the lie.
- The student will then reveal the lie and can explain the truths if time allows.
Optional Extended Activity:
- After writing your statements, turn in your papers.
- As time allows, the teacher will select a paper, and the student will stand and read their statements.
- The class will vote on which statement they think is the lie.
- The student will then reveal the lie and can explain the truths.
This game could also be spread out over many days.
