  • I was thinking about having a themed "Get to Know You" month.

September: The first month is "Guess Who."

October: The second month is something scary.

November: Something I am thankful for.

December: My gifts to the world.

    January: Something new.

    February: Fashion Show.

    March: How I am growing.

    April: Favorite song or poem.

May: Best memories of the year.

    September – Guess Who

Zoom Game: Each student submits three clues; the teacher shares them one at a time, and classmates guess.

Padlet/Google Jamboard: Post mystery facts, and students match them to classmates.

Photo Collage: Students upload a baby/childhood photo or favorite object, and classmates guess who it is.

    October – Something Scary

Story Share: Students write or record a short spooky (or silly-scary) story and share it in class or on Flipgrid.

Fear-to-Fearless: Digital posters where students share something that scares them and how they face it.

    November – Thankful Thursdays

Gratitude Padlet: Students post weekly thank-you notes to classmates.

Breakout Rooms: Share something they’re thankful for with small groups.

Flipgrid “Thanks Wall”: Short video shout-outs to peers.

December – My Gifts to the World

Show & Tell Online: Students share a talent on camera (music, art, storytelling).

Digital Portfolio: Post their “gift” on a class Padlet.

    January – New

Vision Board: Create digital collages of something “new” they want to try (Canva/Google Slides).

    February – Fashion Show

Virtual Runway: Students show an outfit on camera (future career, cultural heritage, or silly fashion).

Digital Dress-Up: Use Bitmoji/avatars to design outfits.

Recycled Fashion: Show outfits or accessories made from household items.

    March – Mad About…

March Madness Brackets: Students vote on favorites (books, songs, foods) via Google Forms.

April – Favorite Song or Poem

    May – Memories & Milestones

QUIZ OUTLOUD

Tomorrow I am giving a quiz. I decided I would do it outloud as a class sharing my screen.  That way we can time it right.  Good idea emma!...
