Race to 100


Ice Breaker Game: Race to 100

Objective: Count to 100 as a team without interruptions.

Instructions:

  1. Form Teams: Divide the class into small groups.

  2. Begin Counting: Starting with the number 1, each team member says one number in sequence.

  3. Rules:

    • Only say numbers from 1 to 100.
    • If two people speak at the same time, restart at 1.
    • If numbers are repeated or out of order, restart at 1.
  4. Optional Challenge: Time the group for added competition or set a time limit.

  5. Discuss Teamwork: After a few rounds, pause the game to discuss:

    • Challenges faced during counting.
    • Strategies that could improve teamwork.
  6. Planning Phase: Allow 1-2 minutes for teams to plan. Only one person can speak during this time.

  7. Second Attempt: Play the Race to 100 again.

  8. Reflect: Discuss how this attempt was similar or different from previous rounds.

    • If more successful, identify reasons related to planning and teamwork.

Goal: Enhance teamwork and listening skills through collaborative counting.
